What I Thought:

I’m a big fan of Ashelyn Drake’s writing. So I already knew going in I would probably love this one. Most people don’t end up with their first love or high school sweetheart. Or some get separated but find their way back to each other. I like to read these types of stories because its interesting to see where they go. I really liked Mia and Jared together but at the same time I liked Mia with Mark.

I won’t tell too much, because SPOILERS but I was pleased with the ending of this book. I started off thinking I wanted the book to end one way and that I wouldn’t like it if it ended any differently. It didn’t end the way I wanted it too in the beginning, but somewhere along the way I had changed my mind anyway. Not that I was really surprised, because like I said, I love Ashelyn Drake’s writing.

I felt like a lot of times Jared put Mia in unfair positions, as Mia did Mark. But honestly between high school and college haven’t we all been there at some point in a relationship??? I didn’t care too much for Faith at first. I thought she was whiny, but as is the case with real people, you can’t judge people solely by what you see on the outside. There could be a lot going on on the inside that you know nothing about. I ended up really liking her. Probably because at some point in college I’m pretty sure I was a Faith.

Okay, so we’ve established that I liked the characters and I love Drake’s writing. What I probably loved most about this book was that it was relateable. All of it from the plot to the characters.

What I didnt like about the book was……………………………..absolutely nothing.

And she even gives a shout out to Elsa.

I highly recommend this one and I definitely look forward to reading more Ashelyn Drake in the future.
